Bismarck High is again your state Class A dual champion.  After losing a heartbreaker to Dickinson in last year’s dual final, the Demons restored the order in a big way, scoring three consecutive dual wins without truly being tested.  In the finals, the Demons faced a familiar foe in WDA #2 seed Minot High.  The Magi and Demons split the first four bouts of the dual before Bismarck reeled off five wins in a row and took a 28-6 lead.  Mixed in that run were pins from state finalists Gage Roaldson and Isaiah Huus.  Minot righted the ship with pins of their own at 220 and 285 from Jacob Carmichael and Preston Jones, but 28-18 was as close as the dual would get.  Bismarck then ran through the bottom of Minot’s lineup with a 4-2 decision from #1 LJ Aruajo over Minot’s #3 Gabe Mortensen, a fall from 113 Christian Tanefeu, and a major decision from #1 Wilfried Tanefeu. In total, the Demons won ten of fourteen contested bouts and won the final 41-18.
