NDSU Falls Hard at Wyoming

For the first time this season the NDSU Bison lost a dual meet.  The Bison were handled by Wyoming 29-6 Saturday evening in Laramie.  The Bison only mustered two victories; a 6-5 decision from #8 Brent Fleetwood at 125 pounds and an overtime decision from Jaden Van Maanen at 149.  Brandon Metz continues to come up just short in matches against ranked opponents.  The West Fargo product went down in overtime to Wyoming’s #20 ranked Brian Andrews. In a battle of ranked opponents at 165, #10 Branson Ashworth scored a 6-0 win over #17 Andrew Fogarty.  The Bison were without 133 Cam Sykora, who is out of the lineup after sustaining an injury in Las Vegas last weekend.  Replacing Sykora was Paul Bianchi. Bianchi went down to #15 Montorie Bridges 12-3.

The Bison are back in action tomorrow afternoon at the Air Force Academy.
