Sophomore Zach Berry is the leader in the clubhouse at 157 for the Beavers. Though he should see competition for the lineup from senior Frank Straka and possibly a few other underclassmen. Berry missed the second half of last season with injury, but saw starting time to start the year. Forde believes Berry had one of the best offseason of any Beaver wrestler. He spent the majority of summer working J Robinson intensive camps and has become a much better in all positions as a result.

Sophomore Carolos Toledano is the most talented wrester in the Minot State room. He was a Bison Open champion and lineup mainstay last year at 174, That success, plus a move down to 165 pounds, should make the Washington native one to watch as the season kicks off. Forde and the rest of the coaching staff are focused on getting Toledano to point that he is wrestling his best at the right times. Strong results have always been there, but peaking for the Super Region, which could mean a spot in the NCAA tournament, is the number one priority entering this season.
