West Fargo senior Jesse Shearer was second at the USA Northern Plains Regional wrestling championships on Saturday in Rochester, MN.  Shearer strung together three wins in a row to make the final, including a 9-5 victory over Illinois state runner-up Cody Baldridge.  Shearer was defeated by Jack Jessen (IL) in the final 11-0.  Jessen also gave Shearer his only loss in the Greco Roman portion of the tournament.

Of the twenty-one North Dakota entrants at all age levels, six came away with top six honors.
