Sidney, MT native Gresh Jones is headed to his final NAIA national tournament as the second seed, looking to reach the top of the podium after finishing an All American the last two seasons at Dickinson State. Jones is now a four-time NAIA national qualifier, finishing fourth on 2018 and third last season. Jones currently sits 17-3 on the season, with two of those losses coming to #1 seed Shea Ruffridge of national powerhouse Grand View. In the Heart of American Conference final two weeks ago, Ruffridge scored a 7-3 decision over Jones. The third seed in the tournament is Dante Tacchia, also from Grand View. Jones defeated Tacchia via 15-0 technical fall in the HOA Conference semifinal.
Also qualifying for nationals from Dickinson State are Jaime Mullins and Payson Durk. Mullins, a senior from St. Ignatius, MT, stands 25-6 on the year and drew in to #7 seed Julian Hernandez (Life, GA). Dirk, and 18-8 senior from Sturgis, SD, is also unseeded. Dirk will wrestle #10 seed Diallo Matsimella, also of Life, in the the first round.
The Jamestown Jimmies qualified one wrestler for nationals in 149 Brandon Aragon. Aragon was third in the Heart of America Conference tournament and is unseeded.
