The Beavers boast a nice group of six 174 pounders, with no one locked into the starting role at this early stage of the season. Be on the lookout for freshman Austin Frantzich. Frantzich, a two time state qualifier from national power Clovis, CA, has the goods to make an immediate impact in his first year of college wrestling. Beaver head Coach Evan Forde noted the benefit of Ftanrzich coming from a natiponal power to NDwrestle.
“(Frantzich) is from a fantastic porogram in Clovis High School and was very well coached. He is especailly technical and very tough from the top position. He’s been fun to watch thus far in thie practice room and we expect big things from him.”
Isaac Bertalotto, a junior college transfer from Sacramento City College and native of Turlock, California, was a California state placewinner in high school and placed fifth twice at the California JUCO States.

Keegan Berry will anchor the 184 pound weight class after finishing with an 11-9 overall record last season. Berry wrestled at the Super Region tournament for the Beavers last season and was ousted by Southwest Minnesota’s Griffin Osing 3-1 in sudden victory. Osing would go on the finish third and qualify for the national tournament. With the weight set to clear out from last season, Berry has the opportunity to make some waves. Look out for the first dual with Mary this November. Marauder All American Phil Springsteen is up to 184 and should provide a great early litmus test for Berry. Behind Berry is Minot, ND native Matt Rabe, and experience senior Parker Osterman
