The time for Braydon Huber to don to Blue and Orange is upon us and I, for one, couldn’t be more excited to see what unfolds. Huber had the best redshirt seasons I have seen from a Marauder in the Adam Aho era. A four time-state finalist and state champion from Post Falls, Idaho, Huber finished his redshirt season 13-2. He won two open titles including the thirty-five man bracket of the UNK Open’s lower division. Huber’s fifteen wins from last season came at 149, but the move to 157 should be a better fit for Huber’s frame. Behind Huber are Devin Steider and Anthony Velazquez, plus freshmen Evan Frisque and Jacob Morgan. Steidler stepped in to to 157 pound weight class undersized and finished the year for Mary last February. He finished 0-2 at the Super Region tournament. Velazquez was 14-13 as a redshirt last season.

Dante Springsteen joins All American brother Phil as a transfer from Division I Utah Valley. Springsteen has All American talent. At the South Beach Duals last December, Springsteen defeated NDSU’s Jesse Shearer via major decision. At that time, Springsteen was up at 174 pounds. If 165 is the right weight, Springsteen is going to make an immediate mark in the NSIC. The plan right now is to wrestle last season’s 165 Austin Eichmann up at 174, so stay tuned for more on that.
