The lone wrestler listed at 141 on the Mary roster is Nebraska native Tevor Fauver, and he is a good one. Mary head coach Adam Aho has been singing Fauver’s praises since Fauver got to campus last year. In twenty matches under redshirt last season, Fauver finished 13-7. Fauver was a three time state placer and 2017 state champion for Gretna High School. 141 is the one weight where Mary lacks depth this season. Should Fauver miss time, expect someone from 133 to make the bump up.

The depth ramps right back up at 149, where sophomore Max Bruss is back after finishing one win from NCAA qualification as a true freshman. Bruss is one of the most unforgiving top wrestlers in the country, and if he improves even a small amount from the neutral position, should push this weight class back through to the national tournament for the Marauders. Behind Bruss is South Dakota four-time state champion Dakota Galt. Galt spent the last year acclimating to life at Mary, and could be a factor if healthy.
A potential redshirt to watch is Roseau, MN state runner-up champion Chandler Mooney. Aho was excited to get Mooney’s commitment last year as he is great in the classroom and comes from a well-respected wrestling family in the state of Minnesota. Mooney competed for the Minnesota Storm last summer in Fargo, and is also a lineup contender.when the time comes.
