NDSU has completed the second round of wrestleback action where 125 Brent Fleetwood and 165 Andrew Fogarty advanced with victories.  Bison 133 Cam Sykora fell to NC State All American Tariq Wilson and his tournament is over.

Fleetwood dominated Ohio State true freshman Malik Heinselman to the tune of a 10-0 major decision.  Fleetwood erased the bad taste from his lackluster round of sixteen performance by scoring early and often against Heinselman.  Fleetwood will wrestle Purdue’s Devin Schroeder in the next round.  Andrew Fogarty wrestled a wild back-and-forth bout with Navy’s Tanner Skidgill.  Skidgill scored the first takeodown, but Fogarty countered with one of his own to tie the match at three after the first period.  Behind 5-4 to start the third and in the top position, Fogarty scored two nearfall to take the 6-5 lead, and then added a takedown for the win.  Fleetwood will wrestle Ohio State’s Te’Shan Campbell in the next round.

The next wrestleback round will begin at the conclusing of the current round.
