NDwrestle Class B rankings update number one is here and it features the first 106 pound ranking of the season.  At the top of the pile is Jake Deutsch of Central Cass.  Deutsch has a laundry list of youth accolades and is now big enough to make a serious run at a high school state championship.  Matthew Duchscherer of Carrington is second after winning the Velva Invitational title on Saturday over Bishop Ryan’s Conner Harvey. Isaiah Carruth of Edgelely-Ellendale-Kulm defeated Cole Gerhardt of New Salem in the finals at Napoleon and comes in at third.

Kyle Burwick locked in to 126 at the Mandan Lions and was his usual dominant self.  Burwick pins against Class A state champion Laken Boese of Bismarck and runner-up Clay Radenz of Century.  126 is currently overloaded with talented wrestlers,  but many of them are likely on their way to 120 where the pool is a bit more watered down after state champion Carter Schmitz of Kindred.

Wrestlers are ranked where they were in tournaments over the weekend, so there was a lot of movement.  NDwrestle ranks kids where they are currently competing, not where they might be in February.  Those wrestlers that have yet to compete, for whatever reason, do not appear in the rankings.  They will be ranked after their first match.  The next B rankings update will be after the Linton Holiday.
