Zach Berry returns after finishing 18-15 last season as a sophomore. Berry was 9-9 in dual competition and posted an impressive 4-2 victory over Southwest Minnesota NCAA qualifier Cortez Arredondo. He also scored two important victories in Minot State’s home and home with rival University of Mary. Berry spends his summers working for J Robinson camps, and Minot State head coach Evan Forde is excited to put the gains Berry has made this offseason on display come November.
“Zach has done nothing but improve since he got here,” Forde noted to NDwrestle. “He demonstrates great work ethic, attitude, and leadership on a regular basis. Zach has his mind set on wrestling in Cleveland in March at the NCAA championships, and I think that is a realistic goal for him.”

With the graduation of lineup mainstay Carlos Toledano, Forde will look to Tyler Sharron at 165. Sharron, a sophomore from Unity Point, New Hampshire, was 6-7 at 165 last year, including 1-3 against NSIC opponents. Behind Sharron is Sophomore Joey Lopez and likely redshirt Nathan Baca.
