No need to be concerned North Dakota wrestling fans, your rival to the south remains in good hands. South Dakota State announced today that Cornell associate head coach Damion Hahn, who has been with he Big Red since 2006, will be the next Jackrabbit head coach. Hahn is no stranger to wrestling in the midwest. After one of the best prep careers in New Jersey history, Hahn went on to All American four times and win two national championships at the University of Minnesota. Hahn has been on the short list of best assistants in the country ready to take over their own program for some time now, so expect what Chris Bono started in Brookings to continue for the foreseeable future.
With the most important question for the Jackrabbits now answered, fans will now mull who Hahn will bring in to fill out his coaching staff, and whether he can keep key Bono recruits Peyton Robb and Alex Lloyd from choosing a different path.
