Lisbon in Control Entering Day 3 of B Individual

DWMapzyV4AE1MfEThe Lisbon Broncos experienced the agony of defeat in the dual semifinals Friday afternoon, but rebounded to advance nine wrestlers to tomorrow’s placement round, including finalists Jordan Sours (145) and Jordan Urbach (145).  Sours scored a 12-1 major decision over Des Lacs-Burlington’s Walter Winkler, while Urbach continued his dominance with a second period fall over Bailey Lawson of Harvey-Wells County.

In second place is New Salem-Almont, who put all four semifinal wrestlers into the finals, but only have two scorers in tomorrow morning’s final wrestler back rounds.  State champions Clay Gerhardt (113), Tayt Wolding (120), and Chauncey Dittus (132), are joined in the finals by Josh Irwin.

Rounding out the top five are Hillsboro/Central Valley, Pembina County North, and Carrington.  Not a single Class B top seed was upended during the first two days of competition.
