NDSU scored a big time program victory with a 20-16 victory over #12 Cornell Friday morning at the South Beach Duals.  The team wasn’t able to finish the day 2-0 tho, as they were defeated by Rider 22-18.  Both matches came down to the final bout, in NDSU’s case freshman heavyweight Dan Stibral.  Stibral was able to get a last second takedown to seal the win over Cornell, but came up just short against Rider, losing 5-3 in overtime.

Going 2-0 on the day for NDSU were Cam Sykora, Kyle Gilva, Clay Ream, and Andrew Fogarty.  Fogarty actually recorded wins at 165 and 174, as Head Coach Roger Kish bumped his ranked 165 pounder in the Rider dual in effort to tip the scales in his teams favor.  Fogarty got a pin up one weight, but the Bison would go on to lose the dual anyway.
