North Dakota Blue finished Day 2 of Freestyle Junior Duals 2-1, good enough for 6-2 overall and thirteenth place.  To start the morning, North Dakota scored a 34-34 tiebreaker victory over Nebraska Red.  North Dakota was awarded the win as they won eight matches to Nebraska’s seven.  Next, North Dakota fell to a strong Georgia squad 32-28.  In that bout, North Dakota was not able to overcome losses to previously unbeaten wrestlers Kyle Burwick and Jared Franek.  Both Burwick and Franek took one loss in the freestyle portion, and Franek was held out of the final bout against Utah due to injury.  Against Utah, North Dakota started strong and held for a 38-30 victory.  Going undefeated for ND Blue were West Fargo’s Brandon Metz, and Bismarck’s Mason Schulz and Laken Boese.

North Dakota Red scored its first win of the weekend with a 27-25 victory over Georgia.  ND Red finished the day 1-2.  The Bismarck 113 combination of Devin Schulz and Preston Fettig, along with Fargo 285 Andre Baguma, went 3-0 on Day 2.
