NDSU 125 Brent Fleetwood was an overtime takedown away from All American honors, but it was Oregon State’s Ronnie Bresser who scored to end the match and deny Fleetwood a spot on the podium.  Bresser scored the lone takedown of regulation, but Fleetwood scored a stalling point in the waining moments of the third period to tie the match and send it to overtime.  Fleetwood attempted a leg attack, but the defensive-minded Bresser countered for two points of his own to secure the victory.  It was a strong tournament for the redshirt senior from Smyrna, DE.  Fleetwood dropped a quarterfinal bout to Princeton’s Pat Glory before winning two consecutive consolation matches and scoring a blood round bout with Bresser.

Andrew Fogarty, Lorenzo De La Riva, and Cam Sykora also qualified for the Bison but missed the podium.  Fogarty finished his third championships with a 2-2 record.  All three will return to the Bison lineup next season.
