Jimmie Women Roll to KCAC Crown: Caldera named Outstanding Wrestler

UJWW02232019.jpgThe Jamestown Women’s wrestling team continued its success last weekend with a runaway conference title.  The Jimmies, who compete in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference, crowned six champions and placed another five wrestlers in the top three to win the conference title with nearly double the points of second place Missouri Valley College.  Along with her individual championship Jimmie 101 pounder Junette Caldera was crowned the conference Outstanding Wrestler award.  Jimmie head coach Shauna Kemp was also awarded Coach of the Year honors.  Jamestown is hosting the first NAIA Women’s Wrestling National Invitational at Harold Newman Arena March 15-16.
