MINOT, N.D. –   Dean Arevalo, Jered Sublet, Tanner Crissler, Nathan Baca, Keegan Berry and Jordan Will posted wins today over #25 nationally ranked Northern State. The Beavers took down the Wolves 25-20 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference dual in Aberdeen, S.D.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Beavers came out for an early lead by six as the Wolves 125-pound weight class was open
• Northern State came back the next match to close the gap 6-5 with a technical fall
• Minot State took the next two matches, one by major decision and one by fall to increase their lead 16-5
• Northern State took the 157-pound match by fall to put more points on the board 16-11
• The Beavers took the next match by decision increasing their lead 19-11
• Northern State looked to decrease Minot’s lead with a decision win in the 174-pound match 19-14
• Minot State took the 184-pound match to increase their lead 22-14
• A DQ in the 197-pound match gave Northern State more points on the board, decreasing Minot’s lead to just two, 22-20
• The Beavers ended the match strong winning the 285-pound match to finish the dual with a win 25-20
