North Dakota USA Wrestling continues to show its commitment to growing girls wrestling across the state. For the first time, NDUSA has decided to send a girls team to the Heartland Duals in Council Bluffs, IA on Friday, April 13th.
North Dakota has had many women wrestle on the dual teams in the past, but this will be the first year for a girls squad.
As is the case with the other Heartland Duals teams, interested young ladies will have to qualify for the team in a tournament held at Mandan on Friday March 16th. The cost to enter this tournament is $10.
The girls team has 12 weight classes:
58, 65, 73, 82, 89, 97, 102, 109, 117, 126, 138, 150
The age range:
1st – 8th grade, but under the age of 16
