With Super Regional Tournaments taking place all over the country this weekend, the NCAA released the final Division II coaches poll of the season. Minot State has a wrestler ranked for the first time this season, as 285 Mitch Eull sits eighth. Full has won twelve of his last thirteen matches. His lone loss during that stretch was a 7-4 decision to #6 ranked Ryan Appleby of Kutztown (PA). Full was undefeated in NSIC duals this season and could be seeded second at this weekend’s Super Region III tournament in St. Cloud.
Tate Barnhardt and Rudy Guillen of Mary are also in the rankings heading into the national qualifier. Barnhardt remains seventh in the nation, with his last loss coming to #5 Hunter Haralson of Lindenwold. Guillen has lost positions steadily after his win over #1 Jim Pleski last December and now sits tenth after a high water mark of second earlier in the year. Marauder Phil Springsteen was dropped from the rankings after a loss to #12 Blake Perryman of Northern last Wednesday.
Mary and Minot State will take the mat Friday and Saturday with the top four at every weight class advancing to Cedar Rapids, IA for the national tournament.
