NDSU’s recruiting class for 2018 just got stronger. Sam Stuhl, a three time Wisconsin state champion currently competing for Ellsworth High School, has made a verbal commitment to the Bison. Last season, Stuhl finished an impressive 46-0 on the way to another Wisconsin D-2 state championship. Included in that run was a title at the prestigious Minnesota Christmas Tournament, where in the finals Stuhl upended Minnesota’s Brent Jones by 7-4 decision. Stuhl is currently ranked 17th in the country at 132 pounds by Flowrestling.
In conversation with NDwrestle, Stuhl shared that a lot of factors were at play in the decision to make Fargo his college home.
“I chose NDSU because of the program and the coaching staff. The coaches are great and the practice partners I will have will make me into the best wrestler I can be. NDSU also has a good math program which is a plus.”
