Noah Cressell, a soon-to-be senior at Wabash High School in Wabash, IN, has given NDSU Head Coach Roger Kish a verbal commitment. He joins West Fargo’s Jared Franek as wrestlers to have committed to the Bison for the class of 2018. Cressell was 39-2 at 182 pounds for Wabash last season and was eliminated in the second round of the semi-state tournament. Indiana is one of the few states in the nation that runs on a one-class system. Cressell has had a busy summer thus far, competing for team Indiana at both Junior Duals and this week in Fargo. At Junior Duals, Cressell finished 5-3 at 182 pounds. He moved down to 170 for Fargo, and finished the Freestyle portion of the tournament 5-2, losing his first bout before winning five in a row and coming an 11-8 decision away from All American status. Cressell went 4-2 in Greco.
When reached by NDwrestle for comment, Cressell had the following to say about NDSU:
“I chose NDSU because of the support and atmosphere the community provides, and how this program is going somewhere great and I just wanted to be apart of it. A perfect fit feeling!”
