The #3 Ranked Carrington Cardinals registered a win over Region 2 foe Hillsboro/Central Valley Tuesday night. The Cardinals scored wins in five of nine contested matches and walked away with five forfeits for a 55-24 final score. The dual featured two match ups of ranked wrestlers, with both teams scoring one victory in those bouts. At 126, Carrington’s #5 ranked Brecken Lura scored a 7-1 decision over Luke Leshuk. Leshuk is ranked 5th at 120. At 138, #3 Kyle Alfson of Hillsboro/CV score a second period fall over Carrington’s top ranked Lucas Geiszler. Carrington will head to Velva for their first tournament action of the year this Saturday. Hillsboro hosts their HCV duals.
Valley City moved to 2-0 in the EDC with a 57-22 win over Fargo North. The Hi-Liners registered pins from Parker Larson, Tyson Hovland, and Jaden Oestern.
