Mary and Minot State will take the mat in dual competition for the first time Thursday night.  The meet up on the University of Mary campus is the first of their annual home and home series, with Minot State hosting the NSIC counter later this season.  Mary will without last year’s NSIC freshman of the year Phil Springsteen, who should return to the lineup in the next few weeks up a weight class at 174 pounds.  The Marauders feature the lone nationally ranked wrestler in 133 Tate Barnhardt.  Barnhardt was ninth in the national preseason poll.  Three North Dakotans will make their lineup debuts in the bout.  For Mary, two-time Mandan state champion Isaac Berger will wrestle 157.  Minot State will have fresh North Dakota products at the top two weight classes with Watford City’s Jake Belland and Minot’s Je-Mario Jones.
